About ME

Background, Philosophy and Partners

From our initial design conversations, all the way through the final day of construction – I will make sure that each decisions we make along the way is right for you, your family and your home.

Background

Growing up, I was privileged to have a father who, to this day, is one of my favorite contractors (and people). I watched him transform our home, adding an addition, changing floors, finishing the basement, building a deck, building a barn… endless improvements. It was impossible for me to watch this transformation and not be inspired. I gained an immense respect for his trade.

When I was in my early teens (after consuming a few seasons of This Old House), I had dreams to buy historic homes and restore them to their original glory. This eventually morphed into a career helping others do just that.

At fifteen, I took my first job at a retail home improvement store. Then on to a painting & decorating store where I taught classes on faux finishes. As a teen, admittedly, I had no business in this position but I realized how much I enjoyed working with people to create beautiful spaces in their homes.

In 2001, I was offered a position in the Kitchen & Bath Design field and I jumped on it. I realized that these spaces are like a beautiful puzzle. I instantly fell in love with the level of detail required to transform these spaces into their most functional and aesthetically pleasing, within the confines of the architectural style of the home and the people who will enjoy them.

I love the process, the people I get to meet, the before and after and most of all… knowing I walked away leaving the space better than I found it.

Philosophy

My focus has always been on flow, organization and aesthetics. All of which are crucial to the success of a remodel. I love to find the perfect balance between the architectural style of the home and your own personal style that culminate in a design that makes the space work for you.

Integrity is an essential part of each of my projects. It’s woven into every step – through the design process and with my vendors, clients and contractors. Transparency, follow through, positivity and gratitude are at the core of my success.

I have been blessed to work with some truly incredible people over the years and I would love for you to be the next.

Contractors

When it comes to contractors, I do my best to ensure that they’re a good fit for your project both in skill and personality. I will be your guide and sounding board for helping to smooth out the details and minor decisions that arise along the way.

I utilize quality, locally-sourced products and hardware. Handmade Amish pieces are customized for your project. You can trust that your beautiful design will stand the test of time.
