Frequently Asked Questions
What’s the common time frame for a kitchen remodel project?
Typically 6-8 weeks, though each project is different. Oftentimes we are pulling the drywall down to the studs (a full gut) so that we can run new electrical, move walls and windows, move plumbing if required, add insulation, etc.. Each project has different requirements but there is always: Demo; electrical; plumbing; drywall; paint; cabinetry install; countertop template; flooring; countertop install; backsplash tile; decorative lighting; final touch up.
Should I hire a contractor before contacting you?
If you have a contractor you’ve worked with in the past that you love or one has been highly recommended then absolutely. If however, you do not have someone you are comfortable working with, I am more than happy to handle the labor for you.
Is MB Design insured? How about the contractors you work with?
Yes, I am fully insured, with a $2 million liability policy. All of the contractors I work with are fully insured as well.
